Norco
Norco, founded in 1923 by Rex Clark, was named after combining the first two parts of his company’s name The North Corona Land Company. The 14 square mile city in western Riverside County was incorporated in 1964. Norco is now known as “Horsetown USA” and has been built around the equestrian lifestyle. Horse trails can be seen instead of sidewalks throughout the city which has the largest network of horse trails in the nation, over 95 miles long, along with 400 acres of parkland areas. Residents can ride horses anywhere in the city stopping at stores, restaurants, and parks along the way since there are hitching posts and/or corrals provided for the horses. The majority of the lots in the city are at least a half-acre or more where horses and other farm animals are allowed and encouraged. Norco is home to George Ingalls Equestrian Center that hosts many events throughout the year including pro rodeos, Norco Fair, concerts and other events that support animals. Norco Community College, Silverlakes Equestrian and Sports Park, Pumpkin Rock, Hidden Valley Golf Club in Norco Hills and the Santa Ana River enriches the city along with plenty of shopping and dining all with a western flair. Home styles in Norco range from ranch to contemporary style. This is the ideal spot to call home for the true animal lover!!
